In order to take measurements, you will need a soft tape measure. It would be better not to do it on one’s own but to resort to somebody’s help, it will allow you to get a more precise result and consequently fix your size more accurately. For taking right measurement, a woman should stand with her underwear on (bra should be without additional pads), shoes taken off. A woman should stand erect, without strain, keeping her usual bearing, arms down, heels together, toes slightly apart. Breath should be natural.
To measure bust circumference, one should draw the tape measure across the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the bust. Make sure that the tape measure is in horizontal position.
To measure waist circumference, one should draw the tape horizontally around the waist at its narrowest point or with the regard to belly protrusion.
To measure hips circumference, one should draw the tape measure horizontally across the widest part of your hips.
To define a bra size we need two measurement: bust and under bust circumference.
Bust circumference is taken with the help of the tape measure staying strictly horizontal across the widest part of the bust.
Under bust circumference is measured immediately under the bust, the tape measure should be necessarily horizontal.
It should be remembered that while taking measurements one should stay upright and the tape measure should be parallel to the floor. If you stand with your arms up, your rib cage size changes. Therefore, to determine the size of a bra correctly, measurements should be made by a second person.
